Who we are
Real estate rarely starts with real estate.
It starts with a job change. A growing household. More land. Less upkeep. A new city. An investment idea. A chapter ending. Another one beginning.
That is the part we never want to lose sight of.
Founded by Britany Boatwright, MaX House was built to combine the strategy and structure a major real estate decision requires with the kind of personal attention people deserve while making it.
We prepare. We communicate. We ask questions. We look closely at the details. And we stay connected to the reason the move is happening in the first place.

The story behind the name
The name MaX House started with someone very personal to our founder, Britany Boatwright: her son. Ma came from his first name. X came from Xavier.
Simple origin. Much bigger meaning.
As MaX House grew, the name became a reminder of what we want this company to stand for. A move is rarely just about square footage, bedrooms, or a closing date. People move because they want something on the other side of it.
Whatever “more” means to the person sitting across from us, our job is to understand it—and help build the real estate strategy around it.
That is MaX House.
The MaX House way
Prepared, specific, and connected to the person behind the move.
Before we start talking about listings, pricing, timelines, or marketing, we want to understand what the move actually needs to do for you.
“Knoxville.” “Nashville.” “Three bedrooms.” “Under budget.” Those are starting points. The real decision is usually buried deeper—in the property, location, condition, terms, timing, and tradeoffs.
Good real estate advice should not begin after something goes wrong. We believe in doing the homework early, thinking several moves ahead, and keeping the pieces of the transaction connected.
Real estate has enough uncertainty without wondering what is happening. Clear communication, direct answers, and staying accessible are part of the work—not extras.
Two Tennessee markets. One MaX House.
We serve both.
We do not pretend they are the same market.
01 · Greater Knoxville
A home search can move from Bearden and West Hills to Hardin Valley and Farragut, north toward Powell and Halls, or beyond Knoxville toward Maryville, Alcoa, Lenoir City, and Oak Ridge.
And the differences go well beyond names on a map. An older home closer to Knoxville can raise a very different set of questions than newer construction farther west, a property with more land outside the city, or a move toward Maryville, Lenoir City, or Oak Ridge.
Our East Tennessee roots help us put those differences into context so clients can move beyond:
“Do I like this house?”
and start asking:
“Does this work for the life I am trying to build here?”
02 · Greater Nashville
East Nashville is not Green Hills. Germantown is not Bellevue. Donelson and Hermitage bring different considerations than 12South or The Nations.
And once the search stretches beyond the city itself, the Middle Tennessee map gets bigger again.
That is why MaX House approaches Greater Nashville with dedicated local leadership and its own regional perspective—not as Knoxville with a different skyline.
Different market.
Different context.
Same expectation for preparation, communication, and care.
The people behind MaX House
Britany Boatwright founded MaX House around a simple belief: people deserve to feel seen while they are making big decisions.
That belief shaped more than the name. It shaped the questions we ask, the preparation we bring, the way we communicate, and the way we lead clients through uncertainty.
But MaX House is not one person with a logo behind her. Today, agents, regional leaders, operations professionals, transaction support, and other team members work together across our Tennessee markets.
Different backgrounds. Different personalities. Different strengths.
Show up prepared. Be useful. Communicate clearly. Care about the outcome.

What clients experience
Different moves call for different expertise. The common thread is preparation, communication, and having someone stay engaged when the decisions get complicated.
Bought & sold · relocation · Zillow
“Britany always seemed to go ‘the extra mile’ in helping us navigate our purchase. She takes a personal interest in her clients.”
Buyer · Zillow
“He advocates for you as his client and makes sure you have a good experience. He was honest and truthful.”
Relocation · Zillow
“We moved from Houston and bought our house without first seeing it. Meghan walked us through on FaceTime, pointed out the good and the not-so-good, and continued to fight for us until we closed.”
What’s your next move?
A first home. A different home. A sale. A relocation. An investment. Something you have been thinking about for six months and are finally ready to talk through.
You do not need to have every answer before you reach out. That is what the conversation is for.
