Before MaX House

She did not start with houses. She started with people.

Britany came to Knoxville in 2008 as a first-generation college student. At the University of Tennessee, she studied Marketing and Psychology—two fields that kept bringing her back to the same question: what helps people feel understood and confident enough to move forward?

Her work with AmeriCorps and State Farm added the practical side: service, client conversations, insurance, operations, and problem-solving when the details were complicated and the answer mattered.

Real estate brought those pieces together. Britany Boatwright earned her Tennessee real estate license in 2017 and began building a career around listening closely, preparing thoroughly, and helping people make decisions that reach far beyond an address.

The why behind the name

A company named for her son. A leadership style shaped by real life.

Britany is a mother, military spouse, community servant, and business owner. Those roles are not footnotes to the company story. They are part of why MaX House stays focused on the life behind every move.

The MaX House name begins with her son. What started as something deeply personal became a daily reminder that the work should create more room for what matters to the person making the move.

People deserve to feel seen while they are making big decisions.

While building the business, Britany was also navigating breast-cancer treatment. She has chosen to speak publicly about that chapter because it changed the way she thinks about time, resilience, family, leadership, and the systems a business needs when life does not go according to plan.

The experience did not become a slogan. It made the human standard more important.

How Britany leads

Strong enough for the details. Human enough for the moment.

The standard is not personality for personality’s sake. It is preparation, candor, and communication used in service of a real person and a real outcome.

Start with the why.

The useful plan begins with what the move needs to change—not with a property list or a sales script.

Bring systems to the hard parts.

Good intentions are not enough. Details, deadlines, marketing, negotiation, and communication need structure behind them.

Say the useful thing.

Clients deserve clear context and honest trade-offs, even when the easiest answer would be the less helpful one.

Client experience

In conversation & on stage

What Britany has learned building MaX House now travels beyond it.

The same ideas that shape MaX House—systems, resilience, leadership, community, and legacy—also shape Britany’s work on stage, behind a microphone, and in conversations with other real estate leaders.
